Baruch Dayan Emes

It is with a broken heart that I inform you of the petirah of Dovid Chaim ben Tzvi Akiva ע"ה.

On behalf of the Rottenstreich Family, I would like to thank you all for your continued support in the saying of tehillim and learning in David's name.

I would like to ask that all the learning be continued in his memory.

Please continue to check the blog for further updates.

  6. I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of David A"H. While I did not know him, from what I have read he seemed to be an amazing person. This loss will leave a void that can never be filled but IYH the pain will become more tolerable with time.

May we only share smachot in the future.

Dont think for a second that our tefillos went unanswered, Hashem is "Notzer Chesed L'alafim" and somehow sometime in someway our tefillos and learning had and will have an incredible impact on klal yisrael and on Rottys neshama as Dovid Chaim A"H stands up in din before Hakodosh Baruch Hu.
Sometimes Hashem does things as a wake up call to a community or even a nation. Without a doubt we have all done tremendous things over the past few days as far as tefilah and learning however we must not stop, we must take this as an alarm to do t'shuva so I"YH we will be zocha to see the geula and tchiat hameitim bimhaira biyamanu amen.
Rotty well miss you, your smile lit up the room and your caring lit up the world. If i could only have let you known how special of a person I thought you were...Baruch Dayan Emes

  8. I did not know David, but I too am extremely saddened by this. Baruch Dayan Ha'Emes, and may his family be blessed amongst the mourners of Zion.

I wrote this in honor of David, for although I did not know him, I feel that he has touched all of us with his light. For this, we all owe him thanks.

  9. I didn't know David, but he was my brother. Last Tuesday, things were quiet, this Tuesday its quiet for a different reason. It is one of the happiest times of the year, but one the saddest. This has been quite a confusing roller coaster ride for everyone and I don't even know what words I could tell the family except that some of the pain is shared by everyone, even people that didn't know David 5 days ago... I hope that we can all be better people in the future but I'm not sure exactly what the lesson is. Someone my age just goes away; its happened before and I don't know what I can do to prevent it from happening again. One thing is certain though, I may not be perfect but I can strive to improve myself to perfection. If my merits don't reach that expectation, I can request of G-d that in the merit of those who no longer are to help us and always be a source of guidance for us to do what is right and we can be part of the coming of Mashiach (may it come quickly).
BDE - I'm sorry and may G-d help everyone be strong and not fall into despair (especially, may the family be comforted however possible). -KT
